Our Staff

The Rev. Jen Crompton joined St. James in December of 2024 to be our priest-in-Charge as well as our Episcopal Service Corps Program Director.They previously served in a dual role spending time as a Community Trailblazer, acting as a Campus Chaplain and serving St. Benedicts, Los Osos as their Clergy person. Before going to seminary.

Rev. Jen had a long career in Higher Education administration working with students of all ages and backgrounds as a Director of Student Housing and Residential Life. This call to St. James is a wonderful fit indeed combining many of Rev. Jen’s passions. 

 Rev Jen has a Bachelor  of Science in Sociology with a minor in Statistics from Northern Illinois University, Master of Science in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington and a Master of Divinity from Church Divinity School of the Pacific. They love to discuss the intersections of justice, theology and society.  At some point they are considering becoming a Spiritual director and possibly going back to school to do Doctoral level studies.  

Rev. Jen is married.Their wife Heather, cat Honey, and dog Indy bring immense joy to their life.  Rev. Jen loves to explore local coffee shops, hang out at the Aquarium and enjoy the  beauty of the local area during their sabbath time.
